What About Queen Vashti? | Monday Invocation

“We must make a commitment to finding ourselves in the text. If the lion tells the story, it will always be told from the perspective of the perpetrator. That’s why you’ve got to find your own story in Christ Jesus.”

- Bishop Joseph William Tolton

Bishop Joseph William Tolton is the President & Moderator of Interconnected Justice (ICJ), Executive Producer of ICJUSTICE TV, and one of the leaders of the Interconnected Justice Leadership Academy that has a global footprint in Brazil, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda, and the USA. As an LGBTQ identified global faith leader Bishop Tolton has served for 11 years as the Bishop of East Africa for The Fellowship of Affirming Ministries.

In January, Bishop Tolton brought to us a message from the book of Esther that encourages us to look for ourselves in our sacred texts and to consider what unique purposes that God has in store for us.
