 Young Adult Mentorship Pod

Q Christian Fellowship aims to explore affirming and accessible theological formation while mentoring college students and young adults who are LGBTQ+ and allies.

Young Adult
Mentorship Pod

The YA Pod is a collective of young adults (ages 18-28) who are LGBTQ+ Christians and allies who are looking for an opportunity for mentorship in community building!

These young adults are interested in cultivating LGBTQ+ affirming spaces on their local campus and/or community. Through the program they also have the opportunity to build relationships with other young adults across the country and participate in theological and leadership formation.

This year we have 4 wonderful young adults who are currently learning and executing final projects as part of the program. You can learn more about each member below.

  • Serafina Blake

    she/her

Serafina is a graduate student in Pastoral Theology and Spiritual Direction from Los Angeles, CA. She is dedicated to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces for spiritual exploration and mind-body restoration. With a passion for integrating healing practices and body-oriented modalities into spiritual care, Serafina has spent the past decade studying the art of facilitating trauma-informed yoga, meditation, breathwork, and creative expression practices.

Outside of school and work, Serafina enjoys connecting with the earth by exploring the outdoors, spending time at the beach, and going for hikes with her dog.

  • Tony Lancaster

    he/him/they

Tony is a third-year student at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. He is studying for his Masters in Divinity and Masters of Arts in Public Theology and hopes to pursue further education in systematic theology. He presently works as an intern at Common Table Church this academic year. Tony’s vocational passions include the intersection of queerness and theological understanding, exploring theology through a scientific lens, Biblical languages and translation ethics, and creating faith spaces where LGTBQIA+ Christians can heal and explore faith in a safe and caring environment. Tony holds a special place in his heart for exploring different expressions of faith and enjoys exploring inter-denominational worship practices.

Outside of ministry, Tony is a musician, rock climber, rollercoaster enthusiast, barista, and avid cat lover. He loves spending time with his wonderful partner of 2 years whether that be taking adventures or staying home to watch RuPaul’s Drag Race.

  • Lexi M

    she/they

Lexi is a person of a different kind of faith. She has been counter-cultural in the area in which they grew up and has a heart for seeing the church grow to be inclusive of everyone- regardless of any differences. She is a high school English teacher, potential PHD candidate, and a proud queer Christian hoping to show queer youth everywhere that Jesus loves us all- no exclusions.
