The Alliance of Baptists

The Alliance of Baptists began in 1987 as a prophetic voice in Baptist life. Integrity USA – Episcopal Church

Integrity is a nonprofit organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender [LGBT] Episcopalians and our straight friends. Since our founding by Dr. Louie Crew in rural Georgia in 1974, Integrity has been the leading grassroots voice for the full inclusion of LGBT persons in the Episcopal Church and our equal access to its rites.

Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC)

Founded in 1968, Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) has been at the vanguard of civil and human rights movements by addressing issues of race, gender, sexual orientation, economics, climate change, aging, and global human rights. MCC was the first to perform same-gender marriages and has been on the forefront of the struggle towards marriage equality in the USA and other countries worldwide.

New Ways Ministry – Catholic Church

New Ways Ministry educates and advocates for justice and equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Catholics, and reconciliation within the larger church and civil communities. Through research, publication and education about sexual orientation and gender identity, we foster dialogue among groups and individuals, identify and combat personal and structural homophobia and transphobia, work for changes in attitudes and promote the acceptance of LGBT people as full and equal members of church and society. New Ways Ministry is a member of Equally Blessed, a coalition of faithful Catholics who support full equality for LGBT people both in the Church and in civil society.

Open and Affirming – United Church of Christ

Open and Affirming (ONA) is the United Church of Christ's (UCC) designation for congregations, campus ministries, and other bodies in the UCC which make a public covenant of welcome into their full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.

CARSS

TransFaith is a national non-profit that is led by transgender people and focused on issues of faith and spirituality, working to affirm, empower, and engage transgender and gender non-conforming people and their communities.

Austen Hartke

Austen Hartke is the author of Transforming: The Bible and the Lives of Transgender Christians, a new book on theology and personal narratives. He is also the creator of the YouTube series Transgender and Christian, which seeks to understand, interpret, and share parts of the Bible that relate to gender identity and the lives of transgender individuals.

Transmission Ministry Collective

Transmission Ministry Collective is an online community dedicated to the spiritual care, faith formation, and leadership potential of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive Christians. We want gender-expansive Christians to feel grounded, connected, and empowered to serve.

GLAAD's Religion, Faith & Values Program

GLAAD's Religion, Faith & Values program works to amplify the voices of LGBT-affirming communities of faith and LGBT people of faith. The program has successfully coordinated press conferences for religious leaders who speak out in support of LGBT issues and has secured national and religious media interest in stories that bring examples of LGBT equality in faith communities to Americans.

Modern Kinship

Our generation has lived through a fast and unexpected shift in society's views of gay people. We came of age in a time when marriage wasn't even an option for us. When we looked for models to follow, the resources were few. Many within the church still question whether two people of the same sex can live in holy union with each other. We want to document our process so that other people, gay and straight alike, can see at least one way in which gay Christian marriage can be done.

The Reformation Project

The Reformation Project is a Bible-based, Christian grassroots organization that works to promote inclusion of LGBTQ people by reforming church teaching on sexual orientation and gender identity. We envision a global church that fully affirms LGBTQ people.

Believe Out Loud

Believe Out Loud is an online network that empowers Christians to work for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. They elevate the people and places where Christianity and LGBTQ+ justice intersect. This online network provides writings from a multitude of experiences and social locations.

The Wild Goose Festival is an art, music, and story-driven transformational experience grounded in faith-inspired social justice.

PFLAG

Uniting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) with families, friends, and allies, PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education, and advocacy. PFLAG has 400 chapters and 200,000 supporters crossing multiple generations of American families in major urban centers, small cities, and rural areas in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

The Trevor Project

Founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award®-winning short film TREVOR, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.

Protection from Housing Discrimination

Different states have different protections against sexual orientation and gender identity. It can be hard to discern what and how those protections are afforded to you. Bankrate’s explainer is helpful in providing a baseline of rights and a state-by-state analysis.

Safe Space Alliance

We work with the LGBTQI+ community to identify and verify safe spaces around the world. Safe spaces may be physical/offline spaces (e.g. a street address or mobile unit) or digital/online spaces (e.g. apps, websites, or software).
