Shame Belongs in the Closet | Monday Invocation

We are wrapping up our series on highlighting the voices of drag artists of faith as we continue to celebrate International Drag Day that was on July 16th.

Today, we are throwing it back to the 2024 QCF Conference when Flamy Grant performed at Q Night Live in Albuquerque. If you are not familiar with Flamy Grant, she is an award-winning, Billboard-charting, shame-slaying, hip-swaying, singing-songwriting drag queen from Asheville, North Carolina. (You can read more of her bio here.)

In this recording, Flamy sings a song she wrote called Desire of Your Heart that highlights the truth that shame has been imposed onto us that we were never meant to carry. We encourage you to take some time this week to watch and/or listen to Flamy Grant’s performance as she declares that shame belongs in the closet!
